Had some more time today to play around in my new studio. I'm really getting into this now, it's a blast having this much control over my photography. I took some new self-portraits today, as well as a few of Daisy and Peanut. They were both surprisingly willing participants!

I was invited to take some family portraits and photograph a seventieth birthday party on August 21. They brought a chef in for the occasion and he made some incredible food. The family was a lot of fun to be around; this house was filled with joy and laughter.

So, after Friday night's self-portraits, Saturday's fabulously over-the-top wedding of our friend's Steve and Carrie, we headed to my in-law's for a birthday party for Lisa's grandfather. His 85th birthday party to be exact. Four generations of family turned out to wish Mr. B. another great year!
